Alby Falzon needed some good shots & these animals wanted to be in Surfing World, January, 1965 (egomaniacs) - take half a dozen top line surfers, add a little off-shore wind, find a deserted beach break, three foot, breaking both ways, and you've got Fraser Park on a crystal clear Saturday morning. The party consisted of well known Ocean Beach Surfers John and Bill Monie, Ross Barry, Jack Mutton and Jack Maloney.(Right) Jack Maloney performs an inside rail cutback--up ya go Jack!

It didn't take long to realise the small three foot curl lining up over the shallow waters down the south end was one of the best they had seen for some time. Five good surfers in perfect small surf was really something to watch, with each surfer getting the most from both board and wave. Bill Monie (left) was as aggresive as ever showing the style that made him one of the best. Bill surfed with a natural grace which enhanced his style and desire to emulate Barrie.

Ross and Jack Mutton couldn't stand too much more so they furiously waxed their boards and headed for the rights of the middle bank. Fraser Park is about 300 yards wide and on this particular day there were three banks operating. Ross hopped into some good rights, planting both feet on the nose and driving through on an inside section.
I need some shots to help improve this page, so look through the attic for those missing photos.
